Delete your account
You can delete your WORNN account and everything in it from inside the app, without emailing anybody or waiting for us to action it.
How to delete your account
- Open WORNN and sign in.
- Tap your profile, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. The deletion happens immediately.
There is no waiting period and no recovery window. Once it is done it cannot be undone, so if you want your photographs, save them first.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile, username and email address.
- Your login credentials — the account itself no longer exists.
- Every post you have made, and the photographs in them.
- Every comment you have written.
- Every vote and answer you have given on other people’s posts.
- Any reports you submitted.
- Your uploaded files — photographs and avatar — deleted from storage.
- Your device registration, so no further notifications are sent.
What is kept, and for how long
Two things can outlive the account, and only for reasons that protect other people:
- Reports other people made about you. A report is the reporter’s record, not yours. Deleting your account does not erase somebody else’s report of harm, because that would let anyone clear their history by making a new account.
- Accounts with moderation actions recorded against them cannot be deleted from inside the app. If this applies to you, the app will say so and you can contact us at the address below.
Backups are retained on a rolling schedule and expire on their own. Nothing is restored from them except to recover from a failure.
If you cannot open the app
If you have lost access to your account and cannot delete it yourself, email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you: devofmobileapp@gmail.com. We will ask you to confirm the address so that nobody can delete somebody else’s account.
